Back in the 1970s, hair was worn a lot longer on both women and men alike. Often a young mans hairstyle was worn just past his ears and jaw bone. The feathered look was all the rage for women and hairstyles overall had a simpler natural look than the previous eras and the ones to follow. Funky looks were popular but hairstyles weren’t as high maintenance as they’d become in the 1980s.
