MUZAFFARGARH: Fourteen people are reported to have stripped naked a woman and her daughter on Saturday and thrashed them in the presence of a large number of people in Shehr Sultan, a town near Mirwala. .
Sources said the suspects got hold of 50-year-old Allah Wasai and her 14-year-old daughter Ashraf Mai when they came out of their home in Berwali to go to their fields. .

They then proceeded to teach the women “a lesson for the wrongdoing of Allah Wasai’s son”.

SHO Mahboob Tangwani said the main accused, Safdar, alleged that Allah Wasai’s son Saddam Husain had an affair with his daughter. He and his 13 accomplices held the woman and her daughter at gunpoint, stripped them naked and thrashed them.

A large number of people were there but none of them came forward to rescue the women from the assailants.

Local resident Allah Ditta later informed police.

A police team freed the women from the accused and gave them clothes.

A case was registered against the 14 accused, including Safdar, Mirza Khan, Siraj, Haji Afzal, Jameel, Akbar and Athar under 354/148 and 149 sections of the Pakistan Penal Code. Akbar and Jameel have been arrested.

According to police, the accused justified their action and said that a dispute over distribution of irrigation water had caused a clash in which people from both sides were injured.

Acting on the orders of the top brass, the police on Friday sent the accused Rakesh Singh to jail. Owner of the Hotel Bob (where the ugly incident took place) Ashok Kumar and his manager Shailendra too have been apprehended and put behind bars.

It may be mentioned here that Rakesh had brought the girl from Jasidih in Jharkhand three days back on the pretext of giving her a job. But the girl, supposedly of shady character, landed up at a flesh trade centre.

 
 
Brawl

It was on Thursday evening that a brawl took place between the girl and Rakesh over the payment received from a ‘customer’. While the girl wanted Rs 4000 as her ‘earning’, she was given only Rs 1000. Eventually, she took the mobile of Rakesh and left the hotel. It was on the streets of  Exhibition Road where she was caught by Rakesh and his goons, roughed up mercilessly and stripped while searching mobile. While onlookers beat both Rakesh and the girl, the police later took them under custody.

Shocked over the incident which brought disrepute to the State, Nitish asked the DGP DN Gautam to inquire into the shameful incident and report to him immediately.

The news spread like wild fire after the electronic media telecast it repeatedly.

On Friday, the Opposition members comprising the RJD, LJP and Congress legislators raised the issue and punctured the claim of Nitish’s ‘good governance’ in the House.

Inspector General (Patna) Sunil Kumar has been entrusted the task of conducting inquiry into the case.

Woman stripped in public....?????

Where is the safe place for women? Women are not safe even in the presence of more than 1000 people. The people at the Gateway of India were celebrating the knocks of New Year. At that time, in the presence of more than 1000 people, some pervert-minded and Drunken revellers people stripped and molested a girl and even tore her cloths in public view, as her friend watched helplessly. ..

A tabloid photographer, Shadab Khan, claimed that he took the photo of that incident a temporary watchtower erected by the police. In addition, the next morning these photographs rocked Mumbai as well as nation too.

Now, the Colaba police have made an appeal to the victim, young lady, to come forward and lodge a complaint to help them nab the culprits. News channels are continuously showing the picture of the accused people and making an appeal from people to respond if they know the accused persons.

The mob had even torn off her skirt despite the presence of her male companion. It shows the real mind of people living the society.


Shadab said after showing the photographs that


the incident has shaken his faith in the city he has lived in all his life. The couple was there to enjoy people were trying to misbehave with them. I shot that picture.

He recalled that around 70 men who tore apart the woman’s clothes surrounded the couple and her friend tried to protect her but went in vain. The horror was continued for 10 minutes and the woman was screaming for the whole time.
 
 
Is this the society and nation we are proud for. This is a big question in the face of the so-called intellectual society that women are not safe even in the presence of more than 1000 people. Mumbai shame on you...

Girl stripped in public in the New Year party in India

Gara-gara mencintai seorang pria dari suku lain, seorang gadis remaja berusia 17 tahun dipaksa telanjang dan berlari di tengah-tengah desa di Birbhum, Bengali Barat, India sejauh 8 kilometer sebagai hukuman.

Para pria kemudian melecehkannya secara seksual dengan memeganginya saat ia berjalan. Beberapa di antaranya mengambil foto bahkan memvideokannya. Videonya menyebar melalui MMS. Meski insiden tersebut terjadi April lalu tetapi polisi baru melalui investigasinya awal bulan ini.

Pihak kepolisian menjelaskan dewan desa yang disebut panchayat dan warga lainnya tahu insiden itu namun tak melaporkannya.

Polisi kemudian menangkap enam orang termasuk Chundu Murmu, menantu kepala panchayat lokal, untuk membantu proses investigasi.

Senin (9/8/2010) lalu, polisi menangkap lima orang lainnya terkait beredarnya video dari remaja putri yang malang itu.

KATHMANDU: Watched by fearful children and passersby, a mob of nearly 50 young men beat up a woman and paraded her naked in the heart of capital city Kathmandu with no one daring to protest even as Nepal's political parties said they were writing a new constitution that would empower women and other disadvantaged people.

The unidentified woman, who looked to be in her 30s, was stripped of her red printed salwar-kameez and white dupatta. Then the crowd tore off her undergarments and rained abuse and blows with lathis.

The shocking incident occurred in the Ratna Park area of Kathmandu, one of the busiest spots in the capital where new Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Friday laid down the foundation of a martyrs' memorial.

The area, teeming with public transport and shops, is also close to a main police station. Though the cornered woman repeatedly cried out in fear, asking people to save her, nobody dared to intervene.

The woman could have been a sex worker, who abound the area, or mistaken as one. Though it happened on May 20, it came to public notice only this week with a passerby taking photographs of the scene and sending them to a Nepali blog site, Mysansar.com The blog is now appealing for justice, saying the attack is all the more shocking as it happened in the heart of the capital.
